I don’t think that hybrids are a stop gap to full electric cars. Hybrids are here to stay. BEVs are the more beneficial the smaller the battery is and the more frequently they are driven. So especially for in comparison rarely driven supercars with huge amounts of power full electric is nonsense (from an environmental perspective).

Formula 1 now takes the bull by the horns. According to German “Auto Motor und Sport” F1 wants to make partial switch to synthetic fuels (e-fuels) beginning in 2021.

Thanks for this image. I have just gone from, “Not sure about the rear deck” to, “My deposit is on the way”. I will have one in white or silver with a black roof please.

Agreed, whom would have thought that white would suit this car!

An Italian magazine wrote some specifications about the electric motors:
150kW (204 PS) for the rear unit
    2x 42.5kW (2x 58 PS) at the front axle
So the theoretical combined electric power would be around 320 PS, implying the three motors and the ICE couldn't provide their maximum output at the same time (nothing strange, many hybrids work this way).

I can't find other sources (not related to the same journalist/publisher) to confirm these data.

The 7-speeder they have had since the California and is used by all Ferraris, bar the SF90, is a Getrag unit:

Yes I know just the SF 90 is different. Getting is getting a bit behind of the latest gearboxes (8 speed and ready for hybrid).
ZF is our customer so we know the company a little bit.
Still just look how fast is the kit in the Pista is...
Getrag does know how to make them.
Good luck trying to damage them.

Do you know if it will be a similar unit to the dual clutch 8 speed in the 992 Porsches?

Yes it is. Of course not the same internals of the SF90 but is the same type of gearbox.
Actually the Porsche one is so good that they will use the same for the Turbo. Don’t know about the GT models

Capuccino is just a nickname he gave to the car (colour combo looks almost cream/coffee). The actual colour is still Avorio. Unless you can prove otherwise with a paint sticker picture.

    Avorio? I'm a fan, obviously!
The white Photoshop up thread looked pretty tasty (to my surprise), so avorio could work. Thus far, I can only conclude that the same color roof and body is the most appealing IMO. I think the all-black look is my favorite thus far...T

I saw it (and briefly spoke with owner) at the Concours in Fountain Hills this past February. Think there is only the one, so likely Ron's car. It's was amazing!

As I recall there are two with bare aluminum. The other Ferrari is where that idea came from; it might have been a 458. Not really sure. Even the Ferrari employees that watched the tdF being built thought it was a cool idea!
