That was a photo from this thread, originally the red SF90 and I was asking if I properly matched the paint colour to Ferrari's avorio paint (because it depends on surrounding lighting). We are still waiting for Ferrari launching SF90 configurator with options.
Are you saying there is a SP90 configurator on the german ferrari website ? I just checked and didn't see anything like this
The SF90 is far from ugly . I don’t like rear Camaro lights and weight but everything else I love . Based on latest cars launched it will be dynamite to drive . I am looking forward to reading first reviews . It will be spectacular as all new Ferrari’s are Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Careful, Marcel is on a roll he corrected Pino Verde for me. It was instead a "fantasy" color. I to am curious about this famous LaFerrari paint color and what the shade is called!
Actually Ferrari has returned to an old Italian transmission supplier. Graziano Oerlikon transmission, now owned by American Dana group. Which eleborated DCT for McLaren, Aston, Lamborghini and past Ferrari cars. It's a brand new transmission specifically developed for SF90, capable of much more torque and faster then Pista Getrag DCT.
Interesting. The Oerlikon Graziano DCT in the 720S (7sp) is truly excellent. SF90 gearbox is obviously a custom, collaborative project with Ferrari since it has no reverse gear. One bad thing about these gearboxes (besides their considerable weight) is that OG will not supply seals or other parts needed for repair. At least McLaren considers them as non-serviceable 'black boxes' - if fluid starts leaking or there is some internal derangement, they just replace it. Which is great if under warranty, not so great if out of it. Some McLaren owners have received dealer quotes for ~ $30k for a leaking box, when literally a $5 seal (or a small Allen bolt from Ace Hardware to plug a vent hole) is all that is really needed. McLaren sells a lot of very expensive extended warranties because of this. I'm not sure how Ferrari handles DCT problems, regarding repair versus replacement.
I've seen an Avorio 812 with Ciacolloto (?) interior on an 812- it was stunning. On a La Ferrari- even more so...
The Stradale looks positively sinister in black. I love it. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I don’t like the „arc“ above the engine bay. It’s obviously taken from the J50 where I also see it critical. Looks like a handle. Very bad piece of design work imho.
Couldn’t agree more. Marry that key design flaw with the camaro tail lights and the continuation of the general 458/488/F8 profile and it’s just too flawed to love. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
That’s why they added a company that only does gearboxes like ZF to the suppliers in the end of the video of the SF90.
I was thinking the same thing, but I realised that it could be for another part of the car, as ZF manufactures just about anything (from aviation to electronics), not just transmissions.
There are more transmissions on that car than only the gearbox. There is also more than one supplier for different units...
