The retracts are pneumatic I assume (appear to be two air tanks in the fuse?) - are the 4 rams visible in the underbelly shot functional? Looks like the must be, to swing the legs up and also push them together. Any video of the gear cycling? What's the expected top speed? Best wishes for a successful maiden and many, many flights!
Are you planning on including LEDs to simulate afterburner? Would be awesome to have a functional afterburner!
i have video of gear cycle, but it wont upload. site says video file is too large. the inner rams open and close the struts and the smaller outer cylinders are the shocks.
Stunning piece of craftsmanship! I worked F-104 performance in Burbank for the Germans as a know-nothing 20 year old engineer... Can I send you my E-Type bonnet to hammer out?
I hope you will attend this, it's a year from now as it just occurred. It's an amazing event with worldwide participation. Nice fly in here as well.... http://www.tripletreeaerodrome.com/joe-nall-week.php
Geez just checked premium spots are sold out but you can register at the event. I know the organizers if you are not in and want to attend, perhaps I can make an inquiry. But perhaps you are already signed up? http://www.tripletreeaerodrome.com/joe-nall-week.php
joe nall is a great event. i have not attended. its a month after top gun and it is hard for me to make both events. joe nall is a fly in and top gun is an international scale event. someday, i will make both.
