    I dunno... When we started this project it went slideways pretty quickly ~ and without my approval. The body work was pre-done (paint & all) but some of the gaps and alignment of the body were only so-so. Next thing I knew the fresh paint was sanded off and we then re-did the rockers to fit the bonnet. That turned into a complete repaint and the best gaps on a repainted SII on the planet. It has only gone up from there!

    I’m jealous of your panel gaps and probably non-condensation leaking monster AC. I’ve dumped an embarrassing amount of money into my AC and it still spits and drips.

    I vote trailer: a lot can go wrong in 300 miles. I'm thinking first rock chips, tar, bugs, etc. Short trips from home will enable you to tweak everything while minimizing cosmetic damage..

    Get Haggerty insurance with roadside flatbed assistance. Drive it home. When you get home you will have a complete punch list of issues to fix vs incremental.
