i like drake as a fan. hes up there in toronto with miserable weather rooting on raptors when he could be anywhere in world. much prefer him to spike who basically made being knick fan his career at this point. drake still making good music

I think this far now into Durant's injury it's clear he injured his achilles tendon and not the calf muscles. I think he's screwed with whatever he does with the finals. If he sits out, teams will think his injury is way more worse than initially led to believe and lower his value for more money. If he returns, he will risk aggravating it and making it worse.

Doesn’t tearing an achilles require immediate surgery? I’m thinking a lightly torn calf muscle.

Full thickness achilles tendon tears (rupture) get surgery. Partial don't always have to and there are many variations of it (amount of thickness and location), but in athletes sometimes do. Surgery isn't always immediate anyway with huge injuries (not saying Durant has a huge injury). Letting swelling reduce and then doing surgery is common. Immediate/emergent surgeries for soft tissue injuries (no bone fractures) occur when there is vascular compromise like a knee injury where the popliteal artery can get damaged and compromise blood flow to the rest of the leg.

This is shaping up to be similar to the 04 finals when the Lakers were going for the 4 peat and got blindsided by Detroit.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Toronto close it out tomorrow.

Going to be interesting to see Kawhi leave after winning a championshipo_O

KD is good as gone too.

It sure would be a story book ending of the season for Warriors fans if a KD returned and led them back from a 1-3 deficit. The way this thing has played out, I think pulling the next game out at Toronto would be a major accomplishment with an injured KD. We don’t even know for sure if KD is playing. In the universe of “what if’s”, I do think a healthy Warriors team would win a series against these Raptors. But that is not the case and is irrelevant.

Not sure how story-book that would be for Klay and Steph if KD had to come back and win it for them. I would rather much prefer the Splash Brothers dig deep and dig themselves out like they did AGAINST KD a few years ago. I want to see Steph win a Final’s MVP.

Toronto will party all night if this happens. We were discussing going into town for it but it will be insane. The buzz is crazy!

The line up for Jurassic Park started Saturday for the Saturday game at 9:00pm. Halifax has one (https://www.thestar.com/sports/raptors/2019/06/08/raptors-fans-in-halifax-cheer-on-game-4-win-as-citys-jurassic-park-hits-capacity.html). Montreal has one (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/toronto-raptors-golden-state-warriors-nba-finals-montreal-watch-game-1.5168842). Regina has one (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/jurassic-park-regina-1.5167798). Calgary has one (https://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/jurassic-park-set-for-downtown-calgary).

Tickets start at $1800 USD for upper bowl/standing room for a single ticket.

Lots of videos showing KD with bandage around is lower ankle, imply achilles area.

KD is questionable for tonight. Even if he could play, probably only half the man he is. This will have to be the Splash Brothers' game.

I would LOVE to see it wrap up in Toronto. They are riding a wave and I think it can happen. May feel far fetched but being up 3-1 isn't something I expected.

Strength in numbers...that is all Steph has ever preached. Many of us want Curry to win a finals MVP, but that is not what Steph had always has said was important. He is a different dude. He always states he is only chasing rings.

That sucks about Durant. He's a beast of a player. I knew he shouldn't have come back but he'd be screwed no matter what he did, sit or play. Dumb haters would have questioned his desire and he unfortunately doesn't ignore those people.

It's an achilles problem....no way is this a calf stain. Too serious.

cant believe how hard raps have to work to get a shot off while gsw has so many open layups off of what look like set plays. but with kd down again, raps have a chance

The last time a Toronto team won a championship - the Blue Jays - the celebration turned into a riot! Hopefully that won't happen again if they win.

Why did Leonard not have the ball? I think the warriors win it all as long as Klay is healthy. Raptors blew their shot.
