ok so I’ve had my Ferrari for a while now but I still can’t hide that I was born and raised a red neck. I want to do burnouts but when I have pressure on the brake it won’t let the car rev????? Any ideas on how I can bypass this. 2010 Ferrari California.

You wont find anyone on here that does burnouts in their Ferrari thats number one, so they wont know anything about it I would find out how to shut off the traction control, it may be that you cannot. If you can, that machine should have the power to light up the tires just by accelerating hard you should also if you have the skill try drifting the car while going around a corner while using your flippers to up shift as the car builds up revs and the rear tires billow off smoke . If all this does not work sell that paddle shifted Ferrari and by one with three pedals you will have more fun than you can imagine Why anyone would by a Ferrari with an F1 gearbox is beyond me lol I could see why you would want to do burnouts otherwise in my estimation that car would bore the **** out of you

    Thank you

Buy a fox body mustang, Corvette or any dodge product with a true manual gearbox and burn away all the tires you can afford. The ferrari will not do a proper standing burnout.

You can always rev it up to 8000 rpm in neutral, and just grab the paddle and slam it into first ;)
You may want to pour a bottle of bleach under and in front of the rear tires.
You may break something, so you have been warned.
I don’t rev my engine in neutral or do burnouts, not something I would do with my Ferrari.
You might get some tips from a YouTube video.
If you break something it’s your fault, not mine ;)
This post is for informational purposes only.
    P.S.
You may want to check a sight like Ricambi for the replacements parts for.........
Clutch, rear differential, gear box etc, ahead of time.

Buy a McLaren 675LT or 600LT, they have a burn out mode option as standard.

Burnouts are suffering from a medical condition, and you want to do them?

Maybe that's what they need to put a little pep in their step, a little zest in their soap, a little . . .

Even though I'm a child of the '60s, I've never be able to deliberately do a burn out. Maybe I'm too cheap, maybe I know it's inefficient.

However, I'm reminded of the time Thrifty Rental had these Shelby Omni cars for rent. A hot rod motor with itty bitty tires. Damn thing would catch rubber shifting into third. Glad it was a rental car.

Yeah that's going to get expensive real quick.

What will the burnout do? Prove to every 16 year old who's jealous of everyone else that you're a man who's salt of the earth? cause you know it's going to make you look like a rich kid of Instagram...

I wholeheartedly encourage burn-outs in any Ferrari.
My family really appreciates them when it comes to Christmas time.

Isn't this what the PS button is for?!? Although I doubt it'll give you a Dukes of Hazzard style burnout. :)

    Aaron,
Free old guy advice - don't do it.
Free car guy advice - make sure there is no one around to get hurt, well maybe except the friend recording it for YouTube. ;)

    Congrats on the Cali...T

Remember the basics, cross-plane cranks for torque and flat-plane for higher/freer revs.

Oh, and you really insist on doing burn-outs with a Ferrari, then consider trading in your anemic old California to the newer T.

"But its the torque transformation that is the big story here, the total now standing at 556 lb ft, up from 372 lb ft before. In reality, its a little more complicated than that, because the full 556 lb ft is only available in the seventh ratio of the mandatory dual clutch transmission. Punch the right pedal in any of the first three gears, and you will have a maximum of 450 lb ft to play with, which climbs only to 479 lb ft in sixth."

Just think he could buy your big block 70s GTX, and then he could take on the European cars on a high speed, windy, twisty road course ;)

With old & slippery tires on the back you can drift the entire time. :D

I'm a bigger redneck, guaranteed...and this is a pet peeve of mine and has been since I have been driving performance cars since I was 19 (39 now)...almost every time I have my Ferrari out....some *****....

    "Do a burnout!"
    "Light em up!"
*does the little loopty loop thing with their fingers

Are you paying for my tires? My Clutch? My differential? Are you maintaining my car? If you want to see a burnout, power brake your 1998 Camry. Just say "nice car!" or take a picture.

I just smile and wave, maybe give a rev then drive off.

UNLESS YOU HAVE JUST WON A NASCAR RACE, QUIT DOING BURNOUTS! Just causes unnecessary wear and makes you look like a jackass.
