Two probably stupid questions from a new 360 owner: 1. I see from some old posts that a woofer was apparently an option. Does this imply that no other woofer exists in the system unless you did order this option? 2. Are there no rear speakers in the car? I can't find any, and when the fader function is adjusted to fully weight the sound to the rear, the system goes silent. Am I missing something? Do I have a malfunction?
Youre correct. - There is no woofer[1] in the 360 unless you order the one an only - There are no rear speakers [1] Others say the woofer is called "Racing exhaust" . If you try the search function you will find some Audio mods for the 360/430. Regards Joerg
I wouldn’t get the option. Probably costly and gonna be sub par. If you’re really concerned with sound, take out all the default speakers and get a full focal set done up. Cheers Might be cheaper or same price as the option. My 2 cents PS. Get them to do an individual battery for the amps. Do NOT , I repeat power the amps with ur main batt. Even the BOSE systems for car audio actually sucks monkey balls. Sadly. “Sharing is Caring...”
Thanks to everyone. Unbelievable that the factory Becker radio even has a fader control, if there's no rear speakers to fade to!
You wouldn’t happen to know which focal speakers are the best fit for these cars? I’ve done searches but it seems some have used 5 1/4” and 6 1/2”? I’m looking for easy and clean. I put a new alpine touchscreen deck in and it’s helped a lot, but the sound quality is still pretty meh.
Nope heh, unfortunately I don’t . I personally use a set of pioneers , but while installing mine, there was another customer there with a 430 as well doing the car cam set, and he had the focal set done. The boss let me hear the difference , indeed a lot better than my pioneers , albeit almost 3x the price, thus my recommendation. “Sharing is Caring...”
https://scuderiaaudio.com/product/components-focal/ It looks like Scuderia Audio is using Focal Flax Series PS 130F 5.25" speakers according to the pics on their site. They have custom adapter rings that you can buy separately to mount these in the door.
Can’t go wrong with Mike at Scuderia Audio...he will bend over backwards to make sure you’re happy. I used him for my F430 and bought a complete system...it’s great.
