And one last story to send the 308 forum off into the weekend: The restaurant was closed for lunch, so the manager was willing to have the tables and chairs a stowed up against a wall, in order to allow the car literally to drive through the main dining room and into the private party room in the back. Obviously, after the party, we had to wait for the restaurant to close, and the last patrons to leave, before opening up the party room partition doors, and backing the car out through the dining room. As midnight approached, the dining room had emptied, except for a nice couple who was celebrating their anniversary. They closed the place down, and were sitting literally at the very back table in the dining room, just inches on the other side of the party room door. Just as the husband - who was facing the party room - gave his wife a little gift in a box, we serendipitously opened the party room doors to reveal a Ferrari about 10" behind her. Without missing a beat or batting an eyelash, the husband gestured over her shoulder and said, "I also got you this little toy for summer." I think he quickly realized he shouldn't have gotten her hopes up, but we let both of them take a lot a pictures in it, and it turned out they were huge Magnum PI fans.
