Driving my 12' FF to work this morning and "Operation not admissible" popped up on the left side TFT. Has anyone else had this before. No other issues, drives fine. Spoke with the dealership/service manager he said it's likely a speed sensor which can be pricey to fix. Wanted to see if anyone has had similar occurrences.

Dealership quoting $7,500 from what i'm told they ave to take apart the transmission to get to th sensor. About a 3 week job. Will keep searching.

Have the Ferrari power 15, will be covered. Since it;'s driving fine and no other issues or warnings he said no rush. Will get it into the dealer next month as I'm about 3.5 hours away. Will keep you posted.

Looks like you will come out ahead if the cost of repair is more than what you paid for the warranty.

dont get too excited - they will open up everything and determine it was something else. just saying better than 50/50 chance they dont cover it.

My friend’s 2014 ff 8.000 miles had the same issue speed sensor ,total cost $9.000 for such a wonderful engendered car to have this issue at such
low mileage is a total disgrace we’re not talking 60’s Ferrari here.

Can you imagine he had to pay $1.000 for the privilege of Ferrari to tell he there engineering masterpiece failed and it would
cost $8.000 more to try again, but if you give us $7.000 a year to protect a 8.000 mile , 2.000 mile a year car you’ll be fine
It’s a rant I know and hard for me to be negative about my beloved Ferrari but this is wrong.

Mine is 2015 no issues so far, The issues are with a friend’s. But of course now I fear for the worst, I have always described the model as a masterpiece.
My rant is such a known issue that Ferrari hasn’t owned it instead charging there clients close to $10.000 for something that is a design fault.

So it was fixed by a software update, and not due to the speed sensor?

Wait, are you saying that all of these error messages can be corrected with a software update now? Because $20K to $7.5K down to $820 is about as dramatic a reduction as I could imagine. The only way I could see a software update fixing that is if it gives the sensor more margin for error. If so, the sensor still isn't perfect. I'd like to actually understand this.

Only thing of similar reduction I can think of is the F1 actuator repair for the 360 and related transmissions. That was about $15K at a Ferrari dealership some years ago, and now you can get them rebuilt for way less.

Yes I'd also like to know - especially if it's just a software upgrade, that sounds easy enough, 820$ sounds like 4 hours of labor at 205$/hr?

Wow, anyone else with the same issues advised of an update? Weird that this would not be communicated anywhere.
