Quite possibly my favorite burnout video of all time...it was quite a smokey show!

“Here goes $600” really, pretty cheap for a new clutch.......oh you said tires.
At least the tires/clutch didn’t hook up when the video guy was standing in front of the car, while he has it at 5000 rpm plus.

Switch traction off, hold the brakes, slam the accelerator pedal.... breathe the smoke

Holding the brakes holds the rears too, which you want spinning. Fighting the engine rpm with the brakes is not nice and it burns up your rear brakes. Disconnect rear brake hoses and blank them and calipers off. Now when you hold the brakes you are only holding the fronts. Back in the day I made some mini g-clamps to clamp the rear brake hoses. Same awesome result.

If you have to do all that to do a burnout try a different car. To the OP, just put the nose of your Cali up against a wall and burn those tires off. ;) Seriously though, I don't think there's anything wrong with an occasional burnout. Just turn off your traction control, mash the gas, and pop off the brake pedal.
