    they should either find a replacement bronze (can't be that hard, I wouldn't think) or Krohn should pay for the car to run without him, bumped up to GTE Pro.

    that happened a few years ago when (IIRC) Cooper McNeil had to withdraw from LM24, so Keen and Marc Miller ran a two driver lineup and I believe they had to switch from Am to Pro.

    I didn't know they could switch categories. Interesting.

    It has been mentioned on RLM that Patrick Dempsey is onsite and is still licensed. That would be pretty damn cool.

    The play would seem to be to watch live streaming video on Motor Trend On Demand
    but listen to commentary on Radio Le Mans.

    Commentary on Motor Trend not bad me old mate Allan McNish is on board but RLM
    are the originators.

    It will motivate others to follow suit, would love to see Koenigsegg come in and showcase their groundbreaking brilliance, the Jesko would be incredible and on far less than others would spend, Ferrari alas I doubt would start a programme, even with privateers such as for the 333SP.
    On the other hand Bugatti with the might of Audi would be something but its weight even reduced would be a big handicap...

    Figured I would share this for a laugh.

    I was on a conference call with a few of my team this afternoon, all of them female, moms and minivan drivers, and one of them asked “So what’s everyone doing this weekend?”

    Everyone knows my love of racing, so I said “Well this weekend is the 24 Hours of LeMans. So starting at 8:00 AM tomorrow, I will be firmly planted in front of the TV. And by Sunday morning I expect to be reasonably smelly, somewhat malnourished, and dangerously sleep deprived.”

    There was a long silent pause, until one of them said “Ah. OK. I’m taking my son to a college orientation weekend. So, probably the same thing for us.”

    Awesome battle in GTE Pro. It always amazes me how hard they push at the very start of a 24 hour race. It really is a sprint.

    Yes I could not believe some GT cars blocking each other on the Mulsanne -which used to be an absolute no no due to the speeds there- on the very first lap what will it be like in the last hour? This will end up in tears, it seems a bunch of objectionable manners have been imported in recent years....

    From what I can see on TV, as expected there is no confrontation in LMP1.

    Toyota is clearly above the rest; a factory team with Professional drivers against private teams with non-hybrid cars .

    Most of the action is taking place in GTE PRO, between factory teams and Professional drivers.

    It's really Aston Martin, Corvette, Porsche and Ford that put up a show with their constant battles.
