I'm dealing with this issue for a 355. On a 355, it's an embossed (raised). Debossing is (sunken). I'm told a few people can take leather into the factory to have it done properly with a factory die set. What I've had done thus far is not factory correct so I plan to have it fixed.

Interesting .. Dave just out of curiosity, I wonder what it would look like if a person took the stamp and struck the leather from the backside which in turn would give an embossed look? Would like to see a photo of that just to see the outcome.

Enough of a difference, in my opinion.

Would result in a mirrored (backwards) horse.

I've seen my Dad do something similar - he took a stamp, and made an impression in a resin block - thus giving the inverse. He then lay the leather over the resin block, and tapped the leather into the mold from the back. If he wasn't somewhere up in Canada or Alaska in an RV I'd have a talk to him about it.

The embossed 355 horse actually looks fake !! The 308 recessed version looks a lot more official.

Sorry for the dumb question - but that measure is in metric right? About 4cm tall?

I just simply went to google and typed in “ferrari prancing horse” and choose one of the image and sent it to them and told them what size I want it to be.

    Mike,
Does the company still have your order on file? That may make it easier to order if we want the same item. I am interested in getting one too.

I’m pretty sure they still have it, give them a call and ask for John and if they don’t remember me let me know.

Yes. My horse measures 42 mm from top to bottom. It looks the same size as Dinoart's although it might be tilted more upright per the standard Ferrari horse. I always judge by the raised hind leg, which should be horizontal or slightly upward.

BrianA is right. The horse is supposed to be more upright. After the first headrest I have to move the stamp a few degrees clockwise on the second headrest. Also Whoever want to order another stamp tell them to make it 2 mm smaller. It is slightly larger than the originals since I have one orig. headrest to compare to. But you have to line them up side by side to tell the diff. Good thing the judge doesn't carry one around. o_O

Did the size of the horse change from the 308 to the 328?
I measured my headrest horse and it was about 2 inches tall and about 1.5 inches wide.
