I am restoring a 308GTB, nearly finished, but I cannot figure out the stringing of the cable around the window motor gear wheel. Does one part of the cable go in a clockwise direction with the other part going counter clockwise? (As the gear wheel has '6 grooves' do I feed one part of the cable clockwise in 3 grooves and the other part counter clockwise in the remaining 3 grooves?).

    Would appreciate any feedback.

You can skip the window accelerators if you replace the grease.

The diagram is in the parts manual. Also, I found on my '79 GTB that there was NO dedicated ground wire from the door to the chassis. The door hinges were the only ground connections and they.re not designed to be a ground!

As 2NA posted, replace the grease in the window motor (mine was concrete) with normal white grease, install grounding wires to the chassis, and you'll find your windows work pretty darned good!
