We are getting ready to install the heads on my 250 engine for the Ellena -

My engine guy and i were talking about gasket sealant and we were wondering what then the opinion of using Hylomar Gasket Sealer for the heads and other areas. The Head gaskets will be sealing the
oil and water passages as the cylinders are sealed with the fire ring type gaskets.

    Thoughts - advise etc?

Ed: why would you use the old style "fire rings"? One piece gaskets have been available for at least 35 years now.
