$159,000 isn't going to happen
Well look at the bright side of owning this car. You probably don't have to buy collision coverage insurance.
If he wants 159k the first thing he needs to do is take that shield off ! Shield on a 60k car.......to each his own. Shield on a 159k “ all original mint condition car” No Sir....
I love the shields. But thats my thing, I would advise this seller to use a professional broker to represent that example in a detailed and more refined light. I mean, is that overspray? “Bottom right of data plate” also where is the white Ferrari lettering for the top of the air box? Those pics are terrible! Wonderfull example of a US spec GTS! Miles are shockingly low! Its deserving of best representation and top market value! If your a member here, PM me, I will put you in touch with a Broker!
Still waiting. We've been predicting this since the stone age for the 308 haven't we? Teased back in 14. A few blips here and there and a general across the board increase in average selling prices that still cannot keep up even with inflation. I give up.
Nice car but a few things that seem off*. It's not the "time capsule" of the 1,400 mile car. * Odd that the intake plenum has already been repainted, odd red paint on the door jam ID plate, heavy wear on window switch, etc.
Read through this thread. Undercoating on the oil pan, my 85 GTB can that way new. I had the dealer clean if off. It was not dealer applied. There is still some undercoating on the clutch housing. Perhaps applied at the port of import?
A 91 NSX with 2800 miles just sold on BaT for 102,500. To me an 85 Ferrari 308 with 1400 miles should have sold for a bigger spread than this. It just surprises me the little respect these beautiful cars get.
Why does it surprise you with all the poor mouthing happening here? I've been a part of this forum for about six years. Always amazed how the 308 is belittled, especially among 308 owners. Now the 246, I could understand, but the opposite is true. To each their own...I love my 308 and could care less what the "market" thinks. Trust me, in West TN where I live, it's still quite a thing to see a 308. Most commoners think it's easily a $100K+ car, but they're generally not in the demographic for such a toy. Now these Japanese imports from the 1990s fetching over $100K...that's laughable. Great cars, but c'mon.
Tried to open the ebay link and check on that car but Ebay is frustrating me with slow loading and crap search organization again. Its getting common to close that junk site and move on to better managed platforms now-days
I've not noticed a particular rash of bad-mouthing; we've been discussing the poor air conditioning lately (for example), but there's not much way to discuss that without it possibly being interpreted as a fatal flaw criticism by new users and lurkers. If such people take it that way, tis their loss as they're missing out on a great car.
