Excellent. It’s encouraging to see not all youngsters think music is made by some homer-sexual wearing large headphones standing in front of a bunch of computers.
Talented pair, one of my favourites but I’ll stick to the piano version Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I'll bet the word Lola doesn't get a look in......it's not a well known brand except for proper enthusiasts!
the trailer certainly indicates that the story is all about Shelby and Miles. The irony is that the GT40's would have won Le Mans much earlier if Ford's procurement dept hadn't forgotten to order ZF transaxles. They had to run with Colotti's, which broke. I bet the movie won't mention that...
Speaking of which this not recent article weirdly just popped up on my Facebook feed https://www.goodwood.com/grr/race/historic/2018/1/the-ford-gt40-owes-this-lola-gt-mk6-its-very-existence/
302 didn't come out till '68 Wes. 289 was a better engine for performance purposes, the 302 head design wasn't very good, which is why the Boss 302 eventually appeared, which was a Windsor block with Cleveland heads. The GT40 289's had heads by Harry Weslake, which was the secret to their performance. They made more hp per lb of weight than the later big blocks. Dropping in the big block was Shelby's solution to reliability problems, but the engine wasn't the weak link.
Much like the 327 for Chev and the 1750 for Alfa. .....and of course the 250 for Ferrari.....oh hang on,all Ferrari carby engines are great....
Even today, without carbies, Ferrari keeps winning best engine of the year. Btw, didn't you say you'd never come back to fchat?
Worth a look just for the car mind you https://www.facebook.com/338044476535308/posts/798650657141352?sfns=mo Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
There is a new Netflix movie called Murder Mystery starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler. Not the greatest movie, but I watched it the other night with the Wife because she wanted to. Anyway, there was a Ferrari Testarossa chase scene at the end of the movie which made it a little bit more exciting for me. Here are some behind the scene pictures and story of the 3x Testarossas they trashed in the movie. Read the comments made by the person who started the thread inbetween his pictures. https://www.cliosport.net/threads/my-time-in-italy-with-3-ferrari-testarossas.826827/?fbclid=IwAR3LVJCU7YUdRFsS6yKS01h5nShntFPu2IRlMf1JyFJXNDLJP1sc31Yvdsw
