Finally about to pull the trigger on Ferrari after years of being undecided want to meet some locals in the area that can give me some real life insight on things they have experienced things to look out for etc just someone to bounce a few questions off. I will most likely buy a 430/458 so hoping to meet someone with one of these. Also I am new to the forum so if I didn’t post this how I should please be easy on me. :)
    Thanks,
    -CS

I don't own a 430 or 458, but I would suggest joining FCA. There are lots of owners there, and it's easy to meet people that way.

Ron Tonkin will host various events during the year. Would be a good opportunity to meet with other owners.

Absolutely i was actually just at Ron Tonkin today. Met someone at the dealership. Coming from porches the one thing I will say Ferrari owners so far have been way less snobby then the GT3 owners (that’s what I had previously) definitely a nice change of pace :)

It can be a mixed bag with any group. Some are in it for the love of the car, some are in it for the attention. There are several events going on around Portland/Vancouver area that would give you a good idea of the local crowd.

I am the Regional Director of the NWRFCA. We are a very active club. We have day, weekend and even a week long drive covering over 1,000. We have an annual Ferrari Concours, and RTGT has two track days scheduled for this summer. We also have several socials a year. So if you have any questions check out our website at NWRFCA.org. Look forward to meeting you and your ‘new’ Ferrari!

Thanks for the message! I bought my F430 today from California it should be here by mid next week. I will definitely be joining that & look foreword to a few social events! I tracked my carrera most likely won’t be doing the same with this, just social events and hopefully some drives!

I had a 360 Spider, now an F430 Spider for 2 years now and learned a lot. Have also done a few upgrades.

Feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] and I would be happy to share with you what I know.

I also created and posted here an F430 specific PPI checklist as a guide to future owners. Hope you found that one.

I just saw your post - Congrats! You will love the F430.

Just watch out for a few known weak design items like cracked headers, cracked exhaust brackets, leaking throw out bearing, work out motor mounts, worn out transmission mount, etc. These are expensive items to replace from the dealer. Hope you have a local Indi mechanic close to you.

    Dan
