Seen heaps worse than that with a BMW that frequents the Xpel installer regularly.

The pull off the PPF , reinstall and drives away , no paint scratch

That's why I like PPF. I look at it as an expendable part of the car. Although maybe overkill, on a daily driver, I replace every 3 years to keep the car looking good. This will obviously vary depending on the conditions the vehicle is driven in, but after three winters of salt and road grime, the PPF will be beat up.

That video is just marketing by the installer. PPF saving a car from a lorry full on? Who are they trying to kid? PPF will save the day with rock chips, etc, but a lorry swiping it at full on?

    Way too much exaggeration.

Ild have to say I have witnessed a BMW that has gone bake to the shop 3 times and they were very bad scraps on front bumper and required no painting just reapply the Xpel.

Front bumper on my 488 cost $600 including installation, with XPEL. So many shops quoted me in the $1,600 range, which is a total ripoff.

Would rather spend money on a PPF than respray, some folks here have more money than they know what to do with and will gladly spend $11-15K on PPF and ceramic coating on top, which is just hilarious.

Not really it’s all relative to the cost of the car
One great thing for me though I have unlimited warranty while I own the car
