    This is Logan. He just had his 9th birthday. It is his first without a dad as his father recently passed. His Mom reached out locally on FB looking to make his birthday special, and to take his mind off things. She said has a passion for exotic cars. I responded. Not only did he get to sit in my car and get his picture taken, he also got a ride which he didn't expect. We went fast too. He also got a Ferrari hat to keep as well. It was rewarding to see his smile! He's a good kid and deserving.

    You know my birthday just passed...

    All kidding aside WOW! Way to make a tough little guys day and create a memory he will talk about his whole life.

    I still remember these small things such as gt4tom (I think on fchat) taking me out in his yellow Ferrari with some high revving fun. Getting behind the wheel of a members (Beev I think) Lotus is still in my mind. Let alone when a local racer took me out in his oval racer.

    He is officially a Tifosi!

    Great story. I'm sure he'll remember it for a long time. We did a similar thing here years ago, got several club members together, had breakfast and a drive for his Bday. He got to ride in several Ferraris. It was a fun day for all of us too.

    Good for you!

    Last week I took my neighbors kid to his grade 8 graduation...great kid, won some awards, going to be working hard in high school to get a baseball scholarship. Even dressed for the occasion:)

    I’d love more opportunities to share the experience with future generations.

    This is the way it should be...we are extremely blessed to be in the minority of people as Ferrari owners, there is NO reason we should be keeping them to ourselves when something so simple can bring such joy to someone else. I still remember at a cruise-in, I let a young autistic boy sit in my drivers seat, let him get pictures made and talked with him for a length of time...total car guy. His grandpa was with him, a pastor at a local church, and was almost teary eyed as he told me that the world needed more people like me. Made every frustration I've ever had with this car totally worth it.

    we, the local ferrari club, took some of our cars to the boyscout evening a couple months back, and it was great.
    i took the 430 and it is no garage queen, and i let all the kids sit in it and answered questions.

    btw, i dont take unknowns for drives anymore - the liability scares me.
