In theaters? First Man. Amazing movie. I thought Vice was decent.

Spider man into the spiderverse I guess won't count since it came out 1.5 years ago, but it was really good (and I am TIRED of comic book hero movies). I didn't see it until a few weeks ago. I love all the E39 M5s in it...and they are all CGI.

Fighting off a summer cold, so a good opp to catch up on some classics that I've had on my to-be-watched list.

Pather Panchali (1955) by noted Indian auteur, Satyajit Ray.
This is one of those films that the classic cinema cognoscenti seem to love, and which I usually don't.
It was good though. Unflinching view of life of a poor family in Bengal.

The Searchers, 1956. Starring John Wayne. Probably The Duke's best acting job.

Nothing new at all this year. Halfway through the year, and not a single awesome movie. Nothing coming down the pike, either. Hollywood has given up.

"Up Side" with Kevin Hart. Awesome, funny with a nice outcome. loved it. Even a Ferrari in it too.

Cold Pursuit with Liam Neeson. It would have been pretty boring without the dark humor.

Not a movie really but instead, a four part series in Russian:

"Three Days in the Life of Lt. Kravtsov"

It's a WWII show from the Russian point of view. Many of these Russian movies, especially about WWII, are quite good and have authentic period equipment and weapons. If you have Prime, you can watch 100's of them for free.

Will Smith's head stuck on that CGI body looks just weird. Like his head is too small.

    They should have cast Shaq.

Extinction on Netflix. Seemed like low budget. The spin was interesting. But mostly boring.

Murder Mistery on Netflix with Aniston and Sandler. Only worth it bc of Aniston body and the French Riviera.

What a complete waste of time, they have totally ruined the MIB franchise with this one. Stupid plot that moves painfully slow, none of the "usual" suspects/characters that made the other three so entertaining, and Chris Hemsworth as the main MIB agent was just ridiculous.

Brooklyn's own Clara Bow in the movie that made her a legend.
Funny in places, gritty in others. May be the granddaddy of all rom-coms that came after.

Just watched 'The Perfection' on Netflix. Best way I could describe it is if Quentin Tarantino directed 'Whiplash'.

Fantastic "twist and turn" movie where you're sure you know what's going on but you haven't a clue when all is explained. HIGHLY recommend it.

The question mark on your answer threw me. LOL. It was really good and I don’t want to post spoilers but that ending hit me in the gut and stuck with me.
