488 488 PISTA CARBON FIBER WHEEL/TIRE WEIGHTS

    We got a new 488 Pista in for a Novitec Front Axle Lift to be installed! And this Pista had the factory option Carbon Wheels!! While we had it apart, we decided to do some weigh-in’s for our knowledge and figured we share with the community.


    These are all factory, weights. We simply unmounted the wheels/tires from the car and put them on the scale. We did not modify any balance weights or tire pressure.

    Front- 41.4 lbs
    Rear- 49 lbs

    Now you’ll have to weigh the stock aluminum wheels to compare. The CF wheels are supposed to be 20% lighter than the aluminum ones. I’d be curious to know the real weights of the two wheels

    According to Michelin the rear Pista tires weigh 30lbs. Fronts 23lbs. That would mean these CF wheels weigh 18.4 and 19lbs

    Agree, We are waiting for our pista to arrive with the standard aluminum wheels..... But could be a month or two....

    Anyone care to stop by for us to weigh your pista factory non carbon wheels? :)
