California T USB not charging

    Hi guys,

    Today I connected my phone to the USB port (not the Carplay, the other one) and I noticed it was not charging.

    Is it normal behaviour or do you get power from the USB plug ?

    If not normal, any tip/suggestion.

    Not on my Cali, but on wife's Benz, we had same issue. It was a blown fuse.

    Ferrari dealer told me he is not sure this usb has charging capbility. Would Cali T owner be so nice to test it for me : to charge or not to charge !?

    Most cars of that vintage with AC or AA, does not provide charging in the USB connector. I cannot for the life of me figure out why. But then again, I can't figure out why Ferrari charges over 3000 Euro for AC that should be less than 150 Euro. But then again, they also charge 4000 Euro for a 100 Euro CF cupholder... I guess logical thinking will just make things complicated ;)

    They have indeed their very own pricing strategy but when you love...

    Still dont know for sure if the normal behviour for the usb port is to data and charge or just data. Can someone test it for me please ?

    Called the dealer. No fuse for the usb port. The infotainment system provides the current.
    2 possibilities: wire issue/disconnected or weak capacitor in the infotainment system.
