Pre 1930 I'd agree with you, but they lost the plot under state control. e.g. Your 2300cc FIAT claimed 150hp, which is 65hp per litre. Ferrari's of the same era were 83hp/litre in the most basic tune.
Agreed,I've had 2 of also the better looking of the a/b/c....though the corresponding Alfa's are better looking IMO.
105 Alfa is one of the very best car designs of the 60's. Fiat sport had better steering and brakes however.
It's all in the eye of the beholder but I preferred the looks of the AC and the performance of the BC Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Maybe a repost IDGAF if it is. Love 'em or hate 'em they sparked up the motor industry. https://www.9news.com.au/world/lee-iacocca-father-of-the-ford-mustang-has-died-aged-94-motoring-usa-news/34e2d4ad-a55c-4fd2-93c6-7318d9014931 Errr 'worlds first minivan' ,hmmm I wonder what Volkswagon have to say about that.
A "van" in the US is a delivery vehicle where the driver can walk into the rear, with the same floor level. This style started with the "sedan delivery" in the 50's, which we'd call panel vans. Kombi's, whilst offering multiple rows of seats, had a bench front seat and the centre floor section stepped down. The yanks love Kombi's, a 23 window is USD250K nowadays.
Ian,check the German definition of KOMBI.........this should help. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=kombi The main difference is that the yank stuff actually keeps up with the flow of traffic. ....and yes we're all aware of the silly dosh they are asking for them now, much like the 246...

LOTUS EVIJA: EV HYPERCAR NAME CONFIRMED Scott Collie Pronounced ev-eye-a, the British hypercar's name means the 'the living one' or the 'first in existence'. Lotus has confirmed its upcoming 'Type 130' electric hypercar will be called Evija, designed to signify the car's mould-breaking nature for the British brand. Pronounced ev-eye-a, the name means 'the living one' or 'first in existence' in keeping with the fact it's the first electric Lotus, and the brand's first 'hypercar'. "Evija is the perfect name for our new car because it’s the first hypercar from Lotus, our first electric offering and is the first new model under the stewardship of Geely," said Phil Popham, Lotus Cars CEO. "The Evija is a Lotus like no other, yet a true Lotus in every sense. It will re-establish our brand on the global automotive stage and pave the way for further visionary models." Lotus will use this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed to tease the car with a 'light show' previewing some of its exterior details. A full reveal will take place later this month. When it launches, the Evija will be around 4.4m long and 2.0m wide. Its powertrain is expected to produce 746kW, and all-wheel drive is likely.
Will it happen? Looks good. https://aussieexotics.com/forum/italian-cars/de-tomasa-p72-69391.msg2019699.html#msg2019699
