I had this as an extended test drive for the weekend. Black with dealer fit wheels. Convinced me to order today. Glad mine won’t be black as it picked up sooo much pollen over the weekend. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congrats. What spec did you choose? You might want to read this thread before swearing off black. Ceramic Coating https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/index.php?threads/Ceramic-Coating.601587/ T
No doubt black looks great when coated. I’ve gone “Placeholder Red” with black interior, but this will change. I have form for M&M colours but this is my first f-car. Plenty of time to sort the spec, 8-12 months quoted and the uk winter to what feels like May means no rush The forum and this thread are a great source of info and ideas
Black requires more maintenance, for sure. Many moons ago, when I was still a kid, I owned a Black Bandit Trans Am. I loved that car, guys loved that car, chicks loved that car. But out here in California we get dust because the air is so dry. I had to wipe the car down every 3 or 4 days to keep it looking good. Having said that: when the sun hits Black gloss paint it is spectacular. It's like an inverse mirror. At night it shimmers and glistens under the lights like the rippling sea in the moonlight. And as I've said before, with all the grey and blue Kia boxes and Tesla robots on the road, a low slung Black sports car (especially a convertible) really stands out in traffic.
Another example of how she compares favorably to previous Ferrari cars... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I really love that picture. My take away is how sleek and still very attractive the California is in comparison. Does the Porto seem a little stubbier?
Totally agree.... I have always purchased black or dark blue sports cars. Yes they need more attention but that is part of the joy of ownership! And for sure when they are are polished up there is no competition.
You know, Captain America is Black now. He's gonna need something sexy to get around town in... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
