Hello everyone. First off, I want to thanks to everyone who contributes on this forum. I have learned much. Anyway in October of 2018 I acquired my first Ferrari. 1985 308 QV with 63,000 miles. Since purchase, I have replaced rear main seal, fuel pump, fuel accumulator and fuse panel (Birdman thx). I love driving and working on the car.

I was hopeful if there is anything to learn about the car based on the VIN ...0053671?

    Thanks again,
    Charlie

Have you tried Ferrari Market Letter ?
They have a lot of details about US cars.

The VIN itself doesn't give much except the market but you already know it. You also have the production date on the door jamb tag which is sept-84 in your case.

Do you have your full engine number ? Do you know your assembly number ?

Be certain to attend the Italian car show on the grounds of the Wendy's headquarters on 161 over the Labor Day weekend.

Congrats!!! The 85 QV is pretty much the very best of the 308/328 series, if I do say so myself (very late 84 QV, #52703) ;) There are plenty of great threads here to help you do pretty much everything yourself for maintenance and repair; feel free to ask if you can't find anything.

    Cheers,
    Gordon
