According to a reliable source, the 812 spider will be unveiled September 2, 2019
Nearly forgot. Other bit of info was that in UK (at least) criteria to qualify for an 812 convertible is current ownership of a GTC4 Lusso or Portofino (i.e. a GT car) plus current ownership or allocated order for a hard top 812.As always I'm sure some people will get them who don't meet the criteria.
Will probably be same/similar criteria for 812 VS assuming that car happens, with perhaps additional qualifier of multiple V12's...
This is for sure not an official criteria. Only at your dealer. But nice to share with us. Thank you. Because the Ferrari dealers don't know anything about the car. They have no official infos from this car. And when nobody have an info, they could not have criterias.
How can some have an invite for the reveal, meaning they passed selection, and no criteria have been communicated?
Same. I actually wonder if dealers that has yet to hear about the 812 Spider and requirements, might possibly not even get allocations. I've heard a few things about requirements from what I would call reliable sources. The above with the Lusso and Porto fits well. Time will tell. Can't be long before the order books open in the MODIS system and deposits can be taken. But at this point, a deposit is only between the dealer and potential buyer as no order can be sent to Maranello.
In case you don't know yet Ferrari will NOT be present at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show this September. Zero stand, nothing. They don't need that public anymore. This is known since more than two months already. Instead they created Universo Ferrari in Maranello and they want you to go there in September. New strategy, new philosophy. Marcel Massini
Strange sharing numbered places on the list why would a dealer do that, just causes aggro. Also note production orders vary hugely with complexity, I have an Oct 19 Pista Spider build and been told could be 2020 due to build.
These is hugely disappointing, I was planning on going to Frankfurt to see the new models :-( What is next, an annual pilgrimage package to Maranello during the holy month of September?
The informations about the F12 Spider are at the dealer. Ferrari will send in the next days a list with potential customers. If you are not on the list, you have to count on your dealer.
Hi everyone, I have some questions regarding the V12 future at Ferrari... Will this 812 SA Aperta/Convertible be limited to a specific number or not? Also, will this sort of be a new iteration of a 599 SA Aperta, hence will it have more HP than the regular 812? Will there be a TDF successor, in other words a coupe 812 with more HP and a more aggressive chassis? Best regards from Switzerland V
According to what I know, There will be a 812 spider unveiled september 2 (Confirmed by many sources, can be considered as a fact) it will not be a strictly limited production car like the SA Aperta/ This car will feature a folding top similar in its mecanism to the 458/488 spider system. There will be a 812 GTO limited to 812 pieces for USA only, according to a well informed source but not confirmed

Correct, just to add that whilst not limited edition, it will be limited production time.
