Ok guys my buddy with a f430 told me to attach the battery tender dongle to the terminals behind the driver's seat so it's out of the way.
So in the attached pic I assume the red "+" is the positive terminal, the one in the middle, but where is the black terminal? Don't want to short anything out.

Or should I just attach it to the battery behind the passenger foot rest since I'll know for sure where both terminals are. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Or should I just attach the black wire from the dongle to one of the bolts that secures the Bosch ediff module?

What year is your F430? I think on the 07 the factory installed the under passenger side dash connection port.

On my 360 the black lead for the battery tender is bolted to chassis

One other thing, I don't have the factory battery tender when I bought the car. I bought a ctek one so even if the dongle from the factory is behind the footwell on the passenger side I'm assuming it will be for the factory tender and not work with my ctek?

The positive is as you say and the negative you can connect to a clamp bolt which will give you a body connection

Looks like I have that adapter! I'll be ordering that adapter from Ebay, thanks Bob!

One last question, do I still need to disconnect the battery from the trunk before plugging in the adaptor?
