I picked up a new boat last week. Sailed it home from Green Bay to Detroit. That was a blast. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

The boat is standing tall and looks great! As we get closer to hurricane season when will you move the boat out of The Bahamas?
Mid to late July we are going to come back to Florida for some preventative maintenance etc and get ready for the late fall and winter season - we have an Instagram account now for anyone who wants to follow - seaaxisyacht - kind of new to social media outside of FerrariChat Here’s some pics from today - pretty amazing colors and hard for photography to really capture it - Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was thinking about a month long charter - but then I read your post about the spots on the carpet. I'll have to pass.
Hot here on Lake Keowee although we are at the foot of the Blue Ridge. Big water on your lake fo you get much wave action there?

Stunning. Give me and idea of maintaining the hull. How often do you have to refinish it? Uretahane? It's not a boat, it's art.
3 days. We left Detroit 6 am on Thursday, drove to Muskegon took the ferry to Milwaukee, drove to Green Bay. Was planning to sleep on the boat and leave early Friday morn but banks were slow transferring the funds, the seller would not let us sleep on the boat until he got his money. So, we did not leave Green Bay until noon Friday. Sailed 12 hours Friday, 15 hours Saturday and 6 hours on Sunday. Was great fun, guys only trip, the wife's were too scared! LOL.
Honestly I haven't done anything to it except change the oil and keep it clean. It will need to be re-varnished at some point, but I've had it several years and it still looks great. However, we usually have it out in the AM for breakfast and in the evening for a booze cruise. You probably wouldn't want to spent the afternoon in it, sitting and sweating in the hot sun, which would also bake the finish. MDS

That looks almost like a 1930's Brooklands steering wheel except for having one less spoke. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sitting in the Bahamas waiting for a gap in the weather to get back to Florida. I can't believe it but we've run this boat 6 full seasons. Image Unavailable, Please Login
