    no embarrassing pose involved, just stupidity.

    I am shocked to reveal that I started riding road bikes before I actually had a license :eek:

    I bought a BSA A10 with a hole in the crankcase for about $10, got it welded up and tootled the Perth suburbs until I was legal, when I upgraded to a BSA A65, which felt fast to me after years on a 90cc Yamaha dirt bike (the A10 was no faster than the Yammy)

    Not content with that, I felt the need to customise it... so I pulled the front forks apart and found a workshop who welded extensions to the tubes. Add a tiny Bantam fuel tank and I had a CHOPPER! Unfortunately the forks were now so flexible, that the front brake couldn't be used... also, I hadn't thought about the sidestand, which required a brick to keep the bike upright.
