Guys that want to win judged events, and don't have a current kit, usually pay up.

... and apparently often at the expense of skipping numerous other inaccuracies or incorrect details the car itself has, leading to a loss of anticipated/expected award anyway.
Toolkits and other secondary add-on features should be the very last things to worry about, after everything else in a car is fully sorted and verified correct.

"Complete"? I don't see the front hub puller and the wrenches look like later production Beta. There is an ebay kit priced above this and half the tools came from Sears.

As claimed “complete” kits go, this one is actually not that bad to my eyes; though the shortcomings noted by others are acknowledged, most kits seem to have a variety of things wrong with them...

The front hub puller is certainly missing. Some of the tools are very rusted. The 330GTC had zerk grease fittings. The flexible grease hose is for button fittings. The kit does not have the alternator belt that it should have. There are some extra things that do not belong in the tool kit such as the light bulb kit, the wheel chock, and the triangle "distress" gadget. At least several of the wrenches do not look like BETA N^0 55. The 330GT kit has 5 screw drivers. This has only 4. The ad says:

"An original and complete Ferrari 330 GTC tool kit"

    This it is certainly not.

I dunno, whatever those type of dudes want lol

I'm certainly not that type so I can't speak to the satisfaction wanted.

The only reason I got into cars was because I enjoy driving, and exhaust notes at speed.

Your photo of a sketch of the tool kit could well be correct. Where did it come from? It differs from the sketch in TAV 40 of the 330GTC Spare Parts Catalogue.

I believe that GTC toolkits came in three different versions.

Sounds about right for what I’ve learned of Ferrari of that period.

Although my experience has mainly focused on 365 GTB/4s, but even if half the inaccuracies and inconsistencies found in factory reference literature for them is present with other models of the same era, very little could or should be used for anything other than vague general reference.

Besides, I’d imagine things like toolkits were very unlikely to receive any serious scrutiny during final prep at the factory and who knows what percentage of cars actually even had any tools with them at the time of being shipped out.

sadly, when all those with first hand knowledge are gone, future judges will solely rely upon the parts/owners manuals.

There is a Ferrari Club of America "As Built Manual" for the Ferrari 330 GTC/GTS.

Page 52 discusses the tool bags in a not very through fashion, with photos of the yellow and blue jacks on the next page.

There is also a FCA Manual for 330 GT. It has a photo of two tool bag versions on page 48.

Your comments reminded me of the day I attended a FCA Annual Concorso a few years ago. Knowing GTCs fairly well I took close looks at the 330s being judged. One particularly nice example was being attended to by it's "handler". I asked him a simple question about something on the car and was given a gruff response...."that's the way it came from the factory". Whoa there.......I wasn't judging just asking......

I then look at the beautiful tool kit laid out on a blanket on the ground. Impressive it was. I mentioned how nice it looked to a guy sitting in a chair next to it. He said "it better be right. I paid $20,000 for it!" So the owner was sitting there while the car's "handler" dealt with the car prep and judging. Hey.....whatever floats your boat. Seemed like a bit of a disconnect between owner and the car.

I am with you. I drive my cars. That's the fun part!

few 330gtc’s received the big bag version shown in the parts manual.
most cars got the two piece tool kit similar to the 365 gt 2+2 kit.

I recall seeing very early cars with the big black bag version(like 275); then the brown pebble one piece bag; and finally the two piece set. Dyke, your thoughts?

375+: Yes, early cars with the one piece bag, then MOST GTC's (certainly by #9600) with two piece sets.

    8855 330 GT 2+2 has a two-mount motor like a GTC and a two-piece bag.
