Well said. Im no big LH fan. The obvious between the 2 now cannot be avoided. LH is the driver Vettel would like to be but simply lacks the skills. End of..

How far ahead are Merc? They are clearly so far ahead they can sandbag in the both quali and the race. It’s an absolute embarrassment to every other team that Ham with ancient hard tyres can set fastest lap on the last lap. That’s just plain ridiculous. Ham was clearly the class of the field today.

Poor Vettel. I used to support him strongly, but today was the final straw. He’s lost the edge. Too many mistakes last year and this year. Leclerc is the future.

Poor Verstappen - robbed again of a certain podium by another incompetent driver.

Well done Ghastly. At least a credible performance. If he wants to improve his slim chance of keeping his seat, he needs to do this every race for the rest of the season.

Plenty of strategic blunders up and down the grid today. The safety car was handled very badly by a few teams including Merc, Ferrari, and McLaren. Must try harder.

So... back to normal. Austria was just a one off after all, and the season is over. Congrats Merc on 2019 WDC and WCC. Snore....

MB clearly understand the Pirelli tires whereas the rest of the field don’t. Hence the race pace. Not a mystery. Last year the tires were changed and MB never looked back. Even worse this year. The show stinks. Refueling? Lol. Cut downforce by 50% at the minimum for a start.....

Was just about to reply with this. Williams have those pit stops down to a T.

You mean the Mercedes W10 was clearly the class of the field today and every race NOT Austria.

Definitely not kidding. Leave Vettel out of it for just a moment, he’s clearly washed up. Instead focus on Max/Charles. For the 2nd race in a row, Max gave Charles all he could handle and more. He looked to be the faster driver, if not in the faster car. Now, today Charles made adjustments and did a virtuoso job of blocking Max’s overtakes. Both brilliant drivers. Imagine were those two to be driving for Mercedes... We think it lacks a competitive element now, I can’t even fathom what that might be like.

Never wanted Vettel in SF .... he's no Michael, and was lucky the soda company backed him and not Webber for the WDCs

I'm liking the fact the Renaults are coming good and Dan is starting to fit in with the "surrender monkies" <----- blame Clarkson for that saying

They have a bad car, but the rest of their effort is ok. The Team Disasterpants 2019 Award is going to Haas and Grosjean. Take McLaren's Indy effort this year, stretch it to a season and paste it in F1, and you have this year's Haas team.

LET'S NOT FORGET GROSJEAN, who is getting his ass kicked by LANCE STROLL, and who in the space of one race weekend WRECKED HIS CAR IN THE PIT LANE and TOOK HIMSELF AND HIS TEAMMATE OUT IN THE THIRD TURN OF LAP ONE. His teammate who was ALL THE WAY OFF THE TRACK WHEN GROSJEAN HIT HIM.

I agree with everything you said except this “poor Verstappen” nonsense. After how many times he has hit Ferrari’s and others with his “let me pass or be hit by me” he deserves every single time anyone can take him out intentionally or not.

NOTE: I had to edit this post because I had the abbreviation of “he’s” and “hit” written and this brilliant site translated it as the S Word and blocked it out. Stupid site this is.

Isnt the 1st time SF has done this, perhaps CL joined the team to early? From what I glean on history you have to go to SF as No1

I've been saying this for months, Mercedes are streets ahead and been sandbagging since pre season testing. Isn't it funny when anyone gets within a sniff of winning they magically overnight find another update, when analised even the most dumbest F1 fan can see wouldn't make the slightest difference.

The overheating may be the Achilles heel but I'd take that when winning every race and mostly 1-2 at that!

Congrats to Hamilton. 6 British GP wins passing Clark and Prost. Lucky with the safety car, champions often create their own luck but in this race it was Bottas' to lose. His wheel-to-wheel racing against Lewis was on point.

Leclerc had great racecraft against Max and his pass on Pierre was sublime. Screwed again by Ferrari pit wall tire strategy, when is Maranello going to realize that he should be the #1 driver.

Typical Vettel choking away points for the Scuderia. He should be fired tomorrow and replaced with Alonso. Sad shell of the driver he once was.

So true but never rated SV, he was in the right car at the right time and got maximum support from the team.

Max has always been a problem for Vettel ,firstly when he started off and did some pretty aggressive moves etc ,and now he is out driving Vettel.

Can anyone stomach yet another year of Vettel not performing? With rookie type mistakes ,spinning on demand etc etc

    Agreed on all.

Ferrari needs to think about a good #2 who could help Leclerc next year. Send Seb home.

Were it not for the bumbling of Ferrari Max would never have been in a position where Vettel could have shunted him. In the end Leclerc finished exactly where he should have.

Report is that cure for understeer on the Ferrari has reduced rear stability that favors Charles vs Vettel. Vettel likes a planted rear end vs a bit loose. GO CHARLES!

Gotta love the passion in the voices of those Japanese race commentators. Kinda reminds me of the Japanese-language commentary at the end of the 2017 Indy 500 when Takuma Sato won.

Hamilton was driving Seb's car when it torpedoed into the back of Webber's car?
