    A few thoughts:

    - It's a very pretty car
    - It feels like vaporware...
    - Glickenhaus/Pininfarina might want to have a word with the "designers".
    - Nothing to do with DeTomaso's of old (not necessarily a bad thing)

    It looks a bit like the cars in Speed Racer. That's what it reminded me of....if a 1960's designer made a car for the future. Again, I think it looks cool, but I don't believe it will actually get made... Hope I'm wrong.

    Not so much. It’s a really nice design, with lots of similarities to P 4/5, but ultimately it’s not quite as good, and it looks derivative. I think JG is prolly smirking....:cool:

    Lol read comments on IG. Glickenhaus account.
    How to lower yourself and your company.
    Never seen such comments by Ferrari, Pagani, Koenigsegg or Apollo...

    Stunningly gorgeous car. It's not a copy or rip-off of the P4/5 ... first, because both cars are modern interpretations of the classic P4, and second, because it's in an entirely new dimension of sexy and sleek. The P4/5 looks like an old wheelbarrow in comparison.

    DeTomaso stole from the Ferrari P3/4 and didn’t do a good job. The side air intakes are disproportionately large. Jim stole from the Ferrari P 3/4 as well. Glickenhaus simply did a better job stealing from the P 3/4 than DeTomaso did. Jim likes to posture as if the he is responsible for the design however he isn’t. It was Pininfarina.

    I have always found JG's attitude regarding the P4/5 quite amusing (and a bit baffling). He acts like he designed the car personally and invented the shape, when all it is a copy of P3/4 on the Enzo drivetrain and chassis. He even tried to imply that the LaFerrari was a derivative of his masterpiece...:rolleyes:
    Also when he designed the shields for his firm what does he do? Takes the shape from Ferrari and replaces the horse with the liberty torch and places them in the same place on his cars like the Scuderia shields in a Ferrari. Talk about being derivative!
    Tells you all that you need to know. Money =/= Talent and/or Creativity.

    I have no problem ... none ... telling the two cars apart. There's some similarity in the front view, although the P72 is much more modern, much more gorgeous. The side views are substantially different, and the rear views are entirely different.

    In all views, the P72 is more sleek, more curvaceous, better-proportioned, and in all ways much more attractive.

    Both cars express some inspiration from the classic P4 ... that's where the similarity ends.

    Instead of a Honda V6
    Pagani = AMG special
    DeTomaso = HWA/AMG special
    Koenigsegg = “in-house” V8 (iirc block imported from the UK)
    McLaren = in-house engine
    SCG = ?? One car a Honda, the other a Ford/Chevy or Chrysler?

    This looks like a generic video game supercar

    Horses for courses. SCG builds street-able race cars. A top 10 (I believe 8th after DQs) at the Nuerburgring 24 is impressive. Was in contention for the overall for a bit as well.

    Engine choices for race cars like SCG003C (Competition) are constrained by race rules, regulations, class and BoP (Balance of Power). So cars with Twin-Turbo V6's can race with naturally aspirated V10's.
    SCG003S (Stradale/Street) have no such restrictions except the size of your wallet.
