I took a buddy for a ride in the 360 last weekend, then he made this Facebook post: Image Unavailable, Please Login I live in the south. If it's summer, or above 60, I'm wearing flipflops. If I'm driving, they come off. Every time. I love driving barefoot, and it has never occurred to me that this might not be normal for everyone.Who knew? I can't be the only one that drives a Ferrari barefoot.
Friend Joe always drives his cars barefoot in the summer. I drive mine barefoot when jockeying them around the driveway...
Yuk...barefoot? I tried to drive in flipflops..turned around and went back home and put on proper shoes. It felt dangerous..
I have been driving in my sox for the last 16 years in my 328, I have small feet, size 7.5, I can get better feedback, and I have even more room at the pedal area due to my small feet, Im 5'11 & 3/4 tall
I tried it once, when I had Hill Engineering pedals in my car. Whoa... I'll never make that mistake again! The serration on Hill pedals was so 'sharp' (obviously, to provide a grippy contact surface), that pushing hard on the clutch felt like my feet would turn to hamburger meat. Maybe this is the reason folks "+1" for paddles>pedals ?
For me, it is a few things. First, all my shoes are too big for the pedal spacing. Second I like the 'feel' as you sense every nuance. Third, on track, it does make heel-toe easier (for me at least) Cheers
Admittedly a little OCD, I wear flip flops to the edge of the car, get in with feet out and take shoes off as legs swing in- putting flip flops lodged under seat so they don’t move around..
This is hilarious, you just described my driving ritual. Nice to see there are other folks with the same mindset, I thought I was the only one!
