Im looking forward to the Australian Preview next month. There are aspects that I would like to up and close. With me I look at details that I guess no one really cars about. e.g like how the F8 now has all black parts on the bottom around the whole car. Great to see that rather than painted surfaces , gravel rash and crap that is swept up. The forward pointing of the bumper unlike the rear pointing of the Pista. One thing for sure the aluminium bonnet Either way all the new goodies are in this car. Rear downward swept radiators , the pista engine , iconel etc etc. Better passenger display , steering wheel and on and on.
I like the 3 digital dials with engine/oil temp on my H's center console. Thanks for the feedback. Seems like used Performante is way to go.
When I blight my Mclaren, I was going back and forth between a perf and 720. Don’t get me wrong, I love my 720. But had I been able to fit in the perf, I probably would have bought it. It’s an epic car.
Lambo's are full of drama and theater. Definitely a unique ownership experience. Bummer you're too tall. Heard it's harder to fit into the Spyder with the top up than the coupe, at least was the case for the Huracan.
Yeah it is.... and with the top down it’s absolutely nuts. A wild eyed hellion.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just saying some people say get a vert if one is too tall but cant drive around top-down all the time even in Scottsdale. Nor would one want to when its over a 100 degrees out I imagine.
I’m 6’ and I couldn’t fit in the Perf Spyder. The seats don’t go back because of the housing for the top. The coupe however I fit perfectly. The comfort seats are fantastic. Could sit in them all day. Does Ferrari have a “comfort seat” for those former athletes like myself with major lower back problems!?!?
Of course it would! Just keep the weight low and it will rock...problem will be it will have prticle filter so if the sound was already .... it will be even worse.
No one over here really knows yet whether we will have the GPF. Should find out next month at the F8 launch
Of course it will have a PF. I could even see it (thru the exhaust pipes ) when the F8 was presented here.
For you guys yes , but for us im sure it will be different as our petrol has high sulphur and would kill the GPF
Confirmed 99.999% Australia will NOT have the GPF also confirmed by PORSCHE. Our petrol has too much Sulphur. GPF will be years away > 5 years. Looks like all the new 15 models of Ferrari by 2020 wont have the GPF for Australia. Small percentage of the world business , maybe but at least we can still have their cars. So I dare say there will be 2 exhausts designed, with and without. The pressure now is to make all the PISTA's for the countries that have to have a GPF by 2020. Can see that delaying orders for the rest of the range.
For early Australian orders we are required to meet an options target in order to secure a build. I'm not sure of the actual $ amount but it is quite high. So you can't just order a car without substantial options. Has anyone from other countries been given the same criteria?
That was the case for the Pista but not for the F8 (talking from France but I guess the situation is similar over Europe).
You are an Aussie Mandalay - Has your dealer told you that early orders need to meet an options target?
I don't think dealers care anymore on this car--pump and dump. Get as many sold as possible. No CF, no problem.
