Yesterday, Sunday June 30th was the last day for North-East France of the « 2019 June heat wave » week; 97°f (36°c) expected in our neck of woods. Decided to take the old girl for a spin early in the morning, before the heat rises, when still cool (« à la fraîche », to use the old colloquial french expression). I just love to drive on Sundays’ early morning hours. Drove about 75 miles mainly through forests and woods, not many cars encountered. Came back at 9:15 just before the heat, routine maintenance of the leather with « Leatherique » which works best with high external temperatures. Cleaned the car, then decided to loaf around in the company of the neighbor’s cat, who was visiting, for the rest of the day. Rgds Image Unavailable, Please Login

The only good time to drive in my area at the weekend is first thing in the morning. By 08:00 the roads are filling with cyclists and hikers. We tend to leave at 6:30 to avoid them. Nothing better than running through the cold morning air with the windows down listening to the Webers. Regards David
