What I was told also. But who really knows inside Ferrari.

My dealer can’t confirm my order “yet” and I’m on the list that the factory send to the dealer. They think that the will get almost the same amount as the pista spider, maybe 1 or 2 more.

Currently I have 4 Ferrari’s (one of them is a 812) in the garage and a pista spider & SF90 in order. So I don’t think that the car will be limited by number but it still will be hard to get, otherwise my dealer already confirmed my order in my opinion.

I think that some dealers are now collecting all the order they can and going to push the factory to get more cars. What always is the case by Ferrari I think.

Then the interesting proposition becomes retrofitting ITB setup onto pre-GPF 812 engine... :) :)

Definitely an interesting thought. But I suspect it will be rather complicated. I would not be surprised if they revamped the entire top end for a new ITB/DFI engine. And even if the new intake will bolt up, there's no guarantee that the cam specs on the normal 812 engine will like the new setup. Would not be surprised if they redesigned the heads to work with the different runner lengths as well as new cams etc.

But it would still be a cool project:)

I think the 812 Spider could be epic...I just hope the GPF and nannies don't diminish the car too much. They are among the finest engineers in the World though, and I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
    Can't wait to see it.

    Hi Ron,

A serious Ferrari customer with good ties among dealer told me this. I don't pretend that's the truth, I just repeat what that person told me and allowed me to repeat here...

here is the exact exchange we had

Me - "Do you know if there will be a spicy 812 ? "

Him - 'Yes, a 812 GTO limited to 812 pieces for US only " (If true, all of them will sport those FUGLY orange things ahah)

Me - "Will it be called GTO ?"

    -Him "yes"

    That's all I can say

I really doubt they will use GTO moniker again.

I have an invite as well for the 812 spider launch and thus am on the list.
My dealer says it's not a limited car (they think) based on invites to the event.
They received the same number of invites as for the SF90.
So total volume should be in the 1200-150 range.

For me is the quantity not important. Or with GPF Filter or not. I dont care. I just want to drive with the 812 Spider from Germany to the Gardasee in Italy or to the Cote Azur. I just want to have fun with my women. I am also get an invite and are very happy. I drive the car for sure minimum 8.000 Kilometer or 6.000 Miles the year. I hope I get a car.

Sounds like a conversation about the 2013ish BMW M3 Lime Rock edition. U.S. only release and a fugly orange. 812 units for the U.S. would be a massive amount too. Thanks for the info but sounds fishy.

Sorry Ron, By "Orange things" I was referring to the orange side markers that the US cars must sport, not the color of the car ahahahah

It wasn't clear in my post

That is absolutely perfect Anir... Maybe you american people are so used to it that you don't pay much attention to them, but in our "ROW" eyes, you can't imagine how it litteraly ruins the car and make it look cheaper

It's so satisfying to see what you've done. Good job !

Nice work! I did same on Italia, but went so far as to replace entire bumpers with Euro spec pieces, sans catastrophic reflector abominations! :) Soooooo much cleaner w/o!

They were painted. I’ve never heard of a vendor that sells them, and I doubt they’d have them in Blu Simond!

Thank you! They bugged the heck out of my American eyes, too!

That’s an even better solution. I did the same with my Porsche 993TT to get rid of the ugly US-mandated bumperettes.
