I didn’t have a lifter on my used F12 and actually had no problems. I specced it on my new 812 though and although only had it a month already used it a few times and very glad especially as CF on front. It works quickly and definitely good for piece of mind. Also I use a ferry occasionally and essential for that trip!
Re CF inside - dash inserts look amazing I specced that (and deleted the passenger display and just went with CarPlay). I’m glad as the cf inserts look fabulous and make the inside to my eye. Suggest keep ticking and close your eyes at the bill

Yeah no idea what happened when they spec'd this car, the paint job alone is $30+k so it would have been an easy tick box to get the lifter. Anyhow I am taking delivery Saturday and I have asked my dealer for many prayers driver it around town! BUT I did have a GT4 a few years back (with no lifter) and it was ok. Lets see what happens, getting my wrap guys to look at options to protect the front lip, it looks incredible in carbon.

    Looks amazing. Congrats.

One minor blemish - that Carbonio licence plate holder on the front. Worth considering the licence plate holder that Ferrari of Vancouver sells. Much better aesthetically and also no drill/easy on off. Will send you some photos so you can see what it looks like.

Contact details for FMOV if you fancy one of their licence plate holders. They are milled from aluminium- good quality stuff.

Any pics in the sun? Considering that color for a Pista. Have Maranello on order for the 812, but those two colors are on the list of 4 that cause 6-14month delays...

Pickup is on Saturday and I will take some pics and post them up... the colour is spectacular, one of the nicest I have ever laid eyes on. Maybe worth the delay depending your patience tolerance and the fact that I am not sure you can get it anywhere else.

I can't wait, I am literally drooling at the thought of driving it around! Ironically today I took out a GT3RS for a spin, so I will have some good context for comparisons to Porsche's monster NA car (specifically road experience stuff).
