It's an interesting one with the name with such a radical change. My personal feeling on traditions is there is nothing that can't be thrown away if you only doing it because that's how you have always been doing it. So it still fits with the philosophy of what the Corvette has been trying to achieve through its entire history. If there's a better way, do it.

Definitely a massive improvement in the looks department.
I now think it’s a recipe that should prove incredibly popular.
N/A, plenty of power but not ridiculous, exotic styling, engine in the correct place and only available with a proper gearbox.
Interior is a bit iffy, but if it’s priced anywhere near as well as it is in the US they won’t be able to make them fast enough.

 

It will be a premium price here - think Ford GT money. They won't miss out on an opportunity to maximise profit in our tiny market.

 

More like rip us off. Because of all the taxes to protect our car manufacturing .....Oh wait a minute?....

Plenty of people build/have built XJ13 replicas Gizz - there's one in Aus. When you put aside the looks and nostalgia, there's the unfortunate reality that the cars aren't eligible for anything other than regularity. Consider also how hot the cabin would be - there's a reason most Le Mans prototypes were open roofed.

The UK kit car industry is being reincarnated by high wealth buyers chasing exclusivity who don't really care about heritage and history, just the appearance of "cool". Aston Martin claim that they declined 600 orders for the Valkyrie - that's a lot of people for the likes of "Ecurie Ecosse" to go after.

I can't decide if it's bloody awful or actually pretty cool.
The interior is certainly very red, isn't it?
I think if it was sitting a little lower on its wheels and the interior was, say, black, it would fall into the pretty cool category for mine.
Wonder how much it is?

 

I can’t imagine its reasonably priced as only 40 built and what a swan song for the vantage
