So, as I was washing my 328 to get it ready for the car show, I noticed a crack and a small hole in my driver side clear driving light ;-0

Not happy, so when I got the car years ago, I bought a plexiglass cover for them, since I knew they were prone to break, with the glass lens in the bumper. But never liked the look of the plexiglass cover..... Never thought it would happen to me, but here I am, knowing how hard they are to come by. When I got the car, the part was $1000, then I saw $2500, now I see new ones for $5000? Wow, ,,,,, Now I need to make some decisions how best to proceed. I think I saw a thread about a aftermarket replacement that is not glass?
Anyway, I assume there are others out there that have gone through the misery, so maybe you can give me some insight so I can see what my options are. Maybe someone has a used one that they want to sell?
I guess I learned a lesson, I should of covered them when I could.......

They are not impossible to find...

Always check before buying that the lenses are indeed the right one, as these are different for US and Euro cars: the stripes inside the glass to diffuse the light is not the same: check the "Carello" number engraved in the glass. Not very visible, but at thses prices you want something that is right. US cars have Carello 41754 / 41770.

Mark Lintott is the F-Chatter that manufactured the aftermarket replacement ones: see here:

Unfortunately, that's only the blinker, which is available; furthermore, that one is for "euro" cars, not American cars (they are a different color).
What is needed is the foglight, or driving light, and the American variant (= Carello 41754/41770). Another matter entirely...
There is one here from a well known E-Bay seller, « not cheap » shall we say…

Superformance in the UK has replacment parts in polycarbonate, but you would have to check if it is the US glass, or the euro.

There is a world of difference in the entire assembly and just the lenses. The eBay assembly for $2500 is about right on price - plug and play. The lenses are easier to find and less expensive, but I have yet to see a proven solution for replacing the lenses only. Removing the old lenses from the housing is nearly impossible. Lots of suggested methods, but in 18 years of 328 ownership and FChat, haven't seen it done yet.

    Yet this is promising:
    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/removal-procedure-for-the-glass-lens-of-a-mondial-t-3-2-front-light.599870/

You want a complete assembly, a new 3D printed housing that has never had a lens glued into it (someone on here was working on that), or as a last resort lenses only but without a foolproof way of installing them.

If you get just the lenses, get Mark's.
