Im looking at a 360 in Cleveland, Ohio and wanted to see if anyone knew of a place where i could get a ppi. There doesn’t seem to be an authorized Ferrari dealership in the area. Thanks for your help!

Talk to Earl Gibbs at North Coast Exotics. Great guy. If you go with Earl, I would recommend you do some research and provide Earl some specific items you want looked at. I'm not saying this because he won't do the right checks but, it is also your responsibility to make sure you know what you want checked and to tell him before hand so he can prepare. Regardless, communication is key.

BTW - he did a PPI for me and was great. Highly recommended.

Thanks so much. I appreciate it. I would guess some things I would want would be clutch wear, compression test, look over records. I'm not sure what all gets done during a PPI. I thought there would be a standard check list. Thanks for your help.

Here's a list of some potential headaches you might find in a 360:

Immobilizer and security system issues such as battery drain and intermittent failure
Damaged inner front fenders (require rolling)
    Sticky controls and surfaces
Dash leather shrinkage and disfigured front vents
    Door lock assemblies failing
Fatigued elastic straps in convertible top
Fuel smell from broken roll over valves
    Fogged headlights and taillights
    Cracking fuel lines
    Control arm cracks
    Engine mounts broken

A good PPI checklist might include some or all of these items and certainly many others.

I wouldn't say there is a "standard" list for a PPI although as John said, a good PPI will include a number of items. I recall someone posting a "PPI list" that they had developed but unfortunately I don't have it at my fingertips. If you use Earl, I would call him and talk to him about what you are wanting to accomplish. I'm sure he'll work with you and offer some good advice.
