Also found a loose alternator adjustment bracket that had worn through a stud. I had been chasing what I thought was the slapping noise associated with the cold alternator auxiliary belt that is common. Turns out the metallic sound was a loose nut instead. Glad to finally solve that issue.

These cars are so much fun to drive fast on back roads. They just dance through the curves. Perfect amount of power to have relatively safe fun.
