How do I sign up for a Pista blast on the Autobahn?

It's been my experience we ban all commercial posts. Nothing mutually exclusive about my statement. I'm sure out of the 1,000s of commercial posts we've banned over the years, a certain percentage of folks didn't even know the rules.

In the case of active members (based on post count) - yes, I do reach out. But brooks with his <70 posts in 13 years fell on the wrong side of that line. Again, I appreciate your feedback and I don't mean that facetiously, but that's just the reality of the current moderator queue.

*remember, just to be painfully clear, It wasn't me that banned or reported the post. I'm a fan of Brooks' content, I state these things to show that it wasn't a 'personal power trip.' Just the reality of the moderation queue.

 

Now, we're just getting into semantic arguments. But I'll play.
Both "insults" are figures of speech I've seen used many times.

"Pecker" measuring contest - context being, making this into a Mac vs. Ferrari is a superficial exercise. He did not say any member 'literally' is measuring their genitalia or any implication of said size. That should be pretty clear.

For "getting caught with your pants down" - Based on dictionary.com, the etymology of the phrase has nothing to do with one's sexual orientation, but actually that one is in the act of bodily elimination (i.e., poop/pee.) and then be exposed in that vulnerable position.

The phrase meaning to be caught doing something and be surprised you are caught. You can disagree if Brooks was doing something wrong, or if he was surprised, or if he couldn't care less.

Just my thoughts, but I don't see this as inherently insulting either.

I agree with @RoyalPink the fact that I'm now posting this elementary rundown if anything has me hating myself right now.

So my only comment to this is regarding the post was flagged by other members. Just because a member flagged it which I assume how 90% of your enforcement begins doesn't mean that they are correct. Its letting the monkey run the zoo. BUT... yes... I do see this more of a point that you guys didn't have an agenda against brooks and I do think that is important.

 

Because calling the post commercial is a stretch. Plain and simple.

 

I salute you mods for keeping this thread open and the extreme patience responding / arguing with 1 or a few members who still wants to discuss this to hell and back

another tid-bit, one of the reports came from a member that had their own personal content banned....so more of a "what gives, why does *he* get a pass?" that did play a role in my opinion on trying to be equitable to all.

 

It's not commercial? When Rob clicked it, he had to sit through a 30 second ad. Say it's not commercial "in spirit" or that it's commercialization is negligible, heck even say Brooks monetized by accident.
