I am looking for good quality Tail Photo(s) of 1967, 275 GTB # 29, at Le Mans Starting Grid.
Other photos, without the mechanics in the way, would be great too.

    Thank you.

    Regards, Alberto

Don't you mean car number 28 which was 275 GTB/C chassis number 09079? Car number 29 was a Matra At Le Mans 1967.

Alberto, I think that pic is actually from Le Mans, 1966. RHD 275 GTB/C 09035 driven by Piers Courage and Roy Pike.

Steven, of course, they could not print a 1967 race poster of the actual year,
unless the printing presses at Le Mans, were prescient :)

You are absolutely right, it was '66.

    Thank you.

    Thank you very much Marcel.
Rosso Chiaro 20-R-190, is easy enough, or so it appears. Cambridge Blue, Googled it, a bit challenging.
What was the reason of this particular blue? Possibly another 275 in red in same race, and avoid confusion? Or, Col. Hoare's favourite?

    Regards, Alberto

Cambridge Blue is the color of Maranello Concessionaires.
Have a look in the Maranello Concessionaires book "The Colonel's Ferraris" (Osprey Publishing) by Doug Nye.

Well, got my copy, lovely book, all the photos are B&W, except the cover, so I am back to square 1.
Anybody have a good, high resolution photo of said 'rear end' ?

    Regards, Alberto

The 'Cambridge' bit usually refers to the English university city whose University Boat Race is colour is pale blue (actually slightly greeney). Oxford is dark blue. Maranello Concessionaires was in the same company as Ford dealer F. English Ltd, but I believe the colour is related to the university.

The Cambridge University official colour style guide defines Cambridge Blue as Pantone 557; with RGB values of R 163, G 193, B 173. This colour is actually a medium tone of spring green.

I might be wrong but I do not believe that that particular Maranello Concessionnaires 275 GTB had Cambridge Blue stripes on it and I do not know the reason for that but if you refer to the two colour pictures of the car in the Colin Goodwin book: Ferrari Racing a Pictorial History in the colour pictures section you can see that the blue stripe is a darker colour than Cambridge Blue and the first picture of this page (the poster of the 1967 Le Mans 24H) confirms it. If you have a good picture of that poster as the one in the Tessedre-Moity-Bienvenu Le Mans bible (tome 2) first edition page 58, you will have a confirmation of what I say. Look closely at the Maranello Concessionnaires 206 Dino beside the 275GTB you'll see that it bears two different blue, on the roof the traditional Cambridge blue but at the rear a darker blue for the stripes comparable to the blue stripes on the 275. The picture of the 275 page49 shows also a darker blue and the one of the 206 page 55 shows the cambridge blue from front to aft.

Thank you Fred and Patrick. Makes perfect sense, but, what Patrick mentions mentions is more according to the photo
in the poster and if you really want to push it, there are various models (high end), that are the darker shade.
    Will dig further.
Anyone knows if the owner of that particular car, still has it in the LM paint scheme?

    Regards, Alberto

I was able to find a friend that has a sample of the Rosso Chiaro 20-R-190 All taken care of.
    Thank you!

Now, all I need, is the Blue Stripes
