Rain always helps mix up the field, today was a lot of fun!

Still a good day for Lewis from a mathamatics perspective, one race further into the season and he still holds the same lead over his closest competitor.

Lewis cleared from the other incident he was under investigation.

“Car 44 [Hamilton] appeared to be going unnecessarily slowly during the Safety Car period, relative to the cars in front of and behind him,” the stewards explained. “However, the stewards determined that because car 44 pitted due to his own incident during the VSC/Safety Car period, and the subsequent long pit stop, he had completed one less lap under the safety car than the cars around him.

“This meant that he was obliged to drive to the delta time, while the cars around him were attempting to safely catch the Safety Car. This gave the appearance that he was driving unnecessarily slowly, however in the view of the stewards he was following the regulation.”

Don't think VET last year was remotely similar; conditions was much more benign, he was the only driver that hit the barrier.

Exactly... Lewis was warned and still hit the barrier... much worse ;)
Hilarious how Lewis crashed AND spun and his fanboys still defend him because it was something completely different....

Season half over, time for some math ;)

Lewis stands with 223 points, assuming conserative third place average finishes for the second half of the season we get 373 points.

Question does Max or Seb have a chance?

Asumming second place average points scoring for the rest of the season we get
    180 + 162 = 342 for Max
    180 + 141= 321 for Seb

    Or asumming 5 second place finishes and 5 wins = ( 90 + 125 )= 215
    215+ 162= 378 Max
    215+141= 356 Seb

So not quite Powerball odds, but certainly more similar than different.

So Williams scores their first point of the season! This time Kubica finished ahead of his teammate for once (maybe more, but I don't follow those losers closely)...

Apparently Raikkonen and Giovinazzi have been pushed down to 12th and 13th so that Kubica got promoted to 10th.

Superb drive from Vettel, that's more like it but I think when in this situation he tends to go for it and has a more carefree attitude to his driving. Another lost opportunity by poor CL, I did feel for him, he was definitely on for the win.

And Ferrari [only] gets penalized 5,000 euros for an unsafe release? The FIA is doing everything in their power to have this fan of 20+ years stop caring about the sport.
