Problem is that a NEW Ferrari owner w/o any experience with other performance models will at best be difficult and likely VERY expensive. I have seen $5k -8k insurance premiums for non experienced and checkered driving records. Those kind of premiums take a whole lot of FUN out of ownership. IMO but of coarse if money is no object then what the h**l.

Agreed, not sure why at 51 and never been a "car guy" before, that now is the time to get an exotic. That said I had a former busines associate whose husband (also a doctor now retired) had always driven econo boxes around LA until 60+ got a new at that time Lamborghini Murcieiago. He hardly ever drives it and when I last talked to his wife a couple years ago I ask how many miles on the clock and it was like 3k & still drives his econo boxes DD. So he doesn't even "show off" the Lambo - I kind of think he is afraid to drive it as he has never had any training or experience driving performance cars also driving a Lambo in LA traffic not so much fun IMO.
