Ferrari service puts 184 Miles on 488 spider
I drop my car off for routine maintenance and recalls and I get it back on the service sheet has 184 miles more on the odometer, anyone else experienced this ?I would appreciate feedback thank you
Call your local news station. BUT before you go there, a. maybe there is more to the story you're not sharing? b. what does the service mgr say about why that happened? c. has he offered any remedy?
id take a different approach. call the dealer. see what they say. find another dealer. no need to make a public spectacle out of it unless you like attention.
That's quite a road trip. Last time I calculated what it cost to drive my Ferrari, I think it was about $3 or $4 per mile. Seems like a free Ferrari jacket or something might be in order here Also, keep in mind that a lot of times the service center is actually across town from the actual dealership (depending on your location or dealer). Have you checked to see if some of those miles are trips back and forth to service and/or test driving the vehicle? What work was done, by the way? Perhaps the dealership turned the car over to another facility (such as for detailing) and/or had to drive the car to another location for something? If the service center is across town and they road tested the car, that would be 30 or 40 miles right there. Then when you add in the salesmen taking your car out for the weekend - I mean, weather has been pretty great recently and you do have a spider - that's probably the other 150 miles Ray
I don’t know where you live but maybe they had to make a round trip to the nearest dealer to get a part or have some work done.
Why was the car serviced? If they had to get the emissions computer to reset- it *could* require that many miles... I think you should give them the chance to explain and go from there.
This cld be. Although i think 75 miles does the trick (usually) When this happens my mechanics usually call me and ask if i want them to drive the car for the miles or if i want to do it
I always write down my mileage and call it out to the service manager before I leave the service center. My two Ferrari Service Centers have always been sensitive to miles put on my cars while they are in the shop. But I f they put 184 miles on my car...sorry but it has nothing to do with me wanting attention, I would file a formal complaint with the management at the dealer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The service center is where I dropped the car off I got a copy of the service paperwork and I noticed the difference in mileage, there is nothing I’m not sharing Klinkman,Don’t want to waste your time or mine, it’s Sunday night haven’t spoken to service manager yet.everything that had to be done is done at dealership.
Call the dealer and get an explanation first. My dealer wrote the km's when I gave the car in for its annual. ( which was the same as the figure I wrote ) At getting the car back they pointed out what the figure is now = what they drove. 2 kms. 184 miles seems a lot but don't jump to any conclusions.
I left a message on the managers voicemail already and I will follow up in the morning but I’m really bothered by it thanks all you guys
184 miles is 3 hours of driving at least on public roads with speed limits. I can’t imagine what service checkout takes that long. Keep us updated on how this is resolved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A 488 with 2500 miles in for the standard annual service should have a 3 mile road test. 184 miles makes zero sense, unless you asked them to resolve something else.
