Everything else is spin and an alternate reality narrative of excuses because he doesn't drive for the home team.

The stats prove he's the most successful but does not tell anything about the reasons why he is. He could be the best driver, or be lucky to have the best car in the best team, or both.
Since it's pretty obvious the second proposition is true, it cannot be the first proposition only (that he's the best) - it's either he's the best AND he enjoys the best car and team, or he just benefits from having the best car in the best team.
As for drivers of the same era, it's a fact Rosberg beat him. He then decided to retire because he does not have the same priorities in life; but still he could beat Hamilton in the very same car - so how would you rank him?

Stats are objective; so I base my judgement on them.
    Appréciations are subjectives.

Even a good driver get beaten from time to time.
Rosberg beat Hamilton one year, out of the 3 (or 4) they drove together.
Rosberg is a one-time WDC, Hamilton has already won 5 titles: that tells me something.
I liked Rosberg a lot as a person, but I don't think he was overall a better driver.

OK, I am all for exchanging opinions, but I don't need sterile polemics or blatant hostility when people don't agree.

All Hamilton fans chill out, let the opposition bad talk him. Hamilton had a bad race. Its overdue for the opposition to have a time to laugh. Notice how i did not rebuttal to any comments. I feel good Hamilton haters are getting it all out and having fun, they should, with Ham driving so consistant who knows when this opportunity will come again

So, indirectly Mercedes would be to blame for the slippery surface in the run-off areas, leading to Leclerc's elimination ?
Don't you think it's the role of the FIA to address such matters?

How far can you spin this? "Ferrari denied a win because of Mercedes" perhaps?

What a race this was. Best of the year hands down!

As I've said so many times on here: Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain.

Here's hoping to Max getting 2nd in the WDC.

Yes and a 30 second penalty for Alfa, show some consistency.

Now now, don't be paranoid or too keen on projecting your fears onto others.

My post is not meant to be a serious analysis of the culpability for an unsuitable run off surface, which of course lies with the FIA.

Its merely a joke for long suffering Ferrari fans at the expense of a respected (if unloved) foe.

    Interesting race.

I enjoyed watching Mercedes hop on the struggle bus with the rest of the field. However, I expect all issues to be corrected and will not occur again for the foreseeable future. We have seen Mercedes have bad weeks before, but they've always got it back on track immediately. Something Ferrari unfortunately hasn't done in a long time.

In terms of teams, Merc and RB are still class of the field when it comes to strategy/minimizing mistakes

Exactly ! Yesterday's race was hardly indicative of the state of play.
Freak conditions often bring strange outcome as the results show.
I expect everything to return to normal very soon.

We confirm that a Team truck was in an accident on the M1 in Hungary, near Gyor. The driver, who was driving within the respected regulations, is conscious and has not suffered serious injury. He’s been transported to hospital for further checks. No other vehicles were involved.

Good news about the driver, "but what about the cars ?", as used to say Enzo Ferrari when he heard about a crash involving his team.

I think the driver was trying to overtake the Toro Rosso truck, and just got carried away ... :)

I think it says a lot about the state of Formula 1 when you overhear cheering on the live feed when Mercedes crashes out at their own home race.

When did you decide to do so? Was that before or after you tried to deny that he crashed AND spun or was it after you tried to tell us that finishing this race was some sort of "awesome" achievement???
