"An Evening with Steve Matchett" - July 28th in Knoxville, TN

Hello all,

We would like to invite you to join us for "An Evening with Steve Matchett" presented by Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville.

Steve was a mechanic with the Benetton Formula 1 team from 1990 to 1998. In that time he prepared cars for such racing greats as Nelson Piquet, Riccardo Patrese, Martin Brundle, Johnny Herbert, Gerhard Berger, Jean Alesi, and not to mention Michael Schumacher during his first two World Championship seasons in '94 and '95.

In more recent years, you will remember Steve as an F1 commentator for both SPEED and NBC Sports along with Leigh Diffey, David Hobbs, Bob Varsha, and Will Buxton. He is also an accomplished author, including his "F1 Trilogy" of books - "Life in the Fast Lane", "The Mechanic's Tale", and "The Chariot Makers". For our special evening, he will be reading his story "Breaking Bread with Ayrton Senna" from his latest book "These Desired Things".

The event will feature a three-course dinner at Lakeside Tavern with the story being read in three separate parts between courses. Everyone attending will be presented a special signed edition of the story.

As this will be an intimate setting, we will have a strict limit of 48 attendees and will sell out. We are extremely fortunate to have Steve joining us and this will be an event you certainly won't want to miss!
