Hi guys. My 1987 Mondial 3.2 coupe is running again. The AC has most of a charge, the low and high side pressures are sitting about 92psi. But the compressor will not turn on. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the Mondial 3.2 AC system?

    Thanks,

    Aaron

Probably not enough coolant. You have to vacuum pump the system out and put in a measured amount of coolant. It'a also important to install a new dryer first. There was an article on the 328 (same) system:

Thanks for the reply, but that’s not it. The system is leak free and has a reasonable amount of charge. Also I bypassed the high/low pressure switch just to test.

If I jumper power to the compressor it works. That also jumpers power to the condense fan circuit at the same time. That also work.

Currently I’m thinking it’s the AC controller under the passenger floor board.

Hi, try to check the socket in front of the passenger sit (where the Ac controller is located) in my car the socket was disconnected.

Looking at the wiring diagram there is a glass fuse in the unit which varies the fan speed. Might be worth a look. Diagram coming shortly

Hello spicedriver, not to detract from this thread and this is off-topic. I'm having issues with my 3.2's headlights and turn indicators (all inop) - I have another thread started in the Mondial forum on this topic. Any advice on wiring issues that I can check? I have not played with the relays yet but that's on my list to do.
    Thanks,
    Vince

DUDE! It was exactly that! Thanks.

Working AC is almost more exciting than the 650 horsepower.
