Some of you may be interested in a copy of the more than famous book 'Rivals' (TR vs DBR1), by the late Chris Nixon.
On this occasion it concerns just the book (bound in buckram, not leather), not the aluminium box, the extra reading copy, the three posters, and the title deed.
I have no personal interest, just passing the info.

    INSIDE THE SCUDERIA

An exhaustive and original guided tour of one of the most popular and successful companies of the world: Ferrari. A tour about the present and the history of the Prancing Horse, from its first mechanical workshop in Trento Trieste street in Modena until the larger industrial plant, which has made Maranello famous all over the world. A tour guided by a man who worked in Ferrari for 52 years, living with a leading role the evolution of the factory from small local firm to an example of innovative industrial reality at a global level.

Full of images of great historical value, this volume lets us think about the history of Ferrari as the story of a great company, getting to the heart of machining, equipment and manufacturing processes and the daily challenges arising from them.

A legend which did not come out of the blue, but it’s made of “Blood and brain”, as Enzo Ferrari used to say, speaking about his inimitable “red cars”.

Received a new Ferrari book as a thank you gift the other day. Not bad but not a must have. Touches on a wide variety of cars and subjects. Photography is ok. If you see it around at your local bookstore worth having a flick through to possibly add to your collection.

Have just bought "Gilles Villeneuve - His Untold Life from Berthierville to Zolder" by Karoly Mehes. I'd like to be able to tell you how good it is but I can't, because it's almost impossible to read. The type face is pale grey on white paper. How are you supposed to read that? Such a shame because I believe the author has put a lot of work into it. Pity that it is let down by the designer or the publisher - maybe both.

Thanks for the heads-up, Nathan. It seems more and more publishers are doing this. Is it some sort of current design trend, a way to give photos and illustrations more contrast, or simply to save on printing costs? I find it incredibly annoying.

Porter Press International will produce a volume on the 250 GTO's in their 'Ultimate Series'.
One could question what is left to discuss about these (GTO) cars, but I'm quite impressed with their first volume on the John Fitzpatrick Group C Porsches, that I received the other day.
